Maple Ridge offers a wide array of both secondary and post secondary educational options. Anchored by technical and trades training, Maple Ridge's post-secondary opportunities are primarily specialized and attract students internationally.
BCIT and Douglas College offer programming within the community, along with specialized technical training at the Justice Institute of BC and operating engineers.
Maple Ridge has an abundant labour force in the education field, and an excellent location to expand educational service opportunities.
School District No. 42 is one of the fastest growing in British Columbia, serving slightly over 15,000 students from both the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Maple Ridge is a recognized leader in French immersion, special education, community/adult education and in networked technology. The School District also accepts between 100 and 110 international fee-paying students annually at its secondary schools.
Secondary education opportunities are anchored by both private and public schools that have a regional and international reputation second to none.
Private schools also offer an alternative locally and are a major draw of other children into the community. Meadowridge School is a recognized leader in private secondary education institutions in BC and one of the most respected in Greater Vancouver.
